High/Scope Educational Research Foundation and Red-e Set Grow recognize the importance of protecting child information and we are committed to protecting your on-line experience while using the Red-e Learner software.

• Registered Member

As a registered member, you may, among other things, create and edit a Portfolio for a student, invite guests (i.e., parents) to share this Portfolio, and post questions in any of our Forums. In order to provide you with customized, personalized information, you are asked for some specific information about yourself and the student. To become a registered member, you will need to supply your name and email address. You will also need to choose a username and password. In some cases, an administrator may register a teacher and in doing so, may or may not supply the teacher's email address (it's optional), as well as select the username and password on behalf of the teacher. The username you select when you register may not be changed without contacting the Red-e Set Grow customer support department. Registered members may update their password and email address at any time. Registered members may also elect to permanently terminate their registration by calling 734-485-2000, ext. 255 or e-mail to OnlineCOR@highscope.org.  Upon actual receipt of such notice, all Portfolios, assessments, recommended Activities and Tips, Journal entries, and other personal information associated with you and your student will promptly be removed from the system. However, messages posted to in the Forum areas (which include your username) are property of High/Scope, and will not be removed if or when you elect to terminate your registration. If you elect to permanently terminate your registration, it is important that you contact High/Scope - if your registration terminates as a result of expiration and you never notify High/Scope of your desire to permanently terminate your registration, this site will continue to maintain your information so that you won't have to re-enter all such information upon your return to this site or upon your re-registration.

Only registered members can create a student's Portfolio. Once you do so, you can enter anecdotes for a student, score that anecdote on the High/Scope Child Observation Record (COR), read and write in the student’s journal, access recommended activities, and see an associated Growth Profile of the student's development. You may also invite guests to share this Portfolio; however, if you are a teacher, school or school district, you may only invite parents or legal guardians of a student as invited guests to share in a student's Portfolio (unless you get expressed written consent of the parents/legal guardians to do otherwise). To create a Portfolio for a student, you need to supply the student's name, birth date, and gender (this information is used to personalize the content of the site). In addition, if you are registering as a teacher or a school, you also have the OPTION of supplying the following information: the student’s primary language, ethnicity and class level, as well as notating whether the student participates in an Individualized Education Program (IEP). Such optional information would be used solely to create aggregated non-personalized outcome group progress reports that may be desired by a school administrator or a school district. You may at any time remove from the system any Portfolio that you create. If you do so, all anecdotes, scores, recommendations, journal entries, and other personal information associated with such Portfolios will simultaneously be removed.

• Invited Guest

As an invited guest, you can view, but not create, delete or add changes to, a student's Portfolio. To become an invited guest, you need an invitation from a registered member who has already created a Portfolio. You will also need to register yourself in order to protect the security of the information you will have access to. You will need to supply your name and email address. You will also need to choose a username and password. The username you select when you register may not be changed without contacting Red-e Set Grow customer support. Invited guests may update their password and email address at any time.

• Any personal information that you provide will be held in strict confidence and security. In addition the following terms relating to the ownership and use of data apply to the use of the service:
• All personal information specific to a child will be exclusively owned by the registered user who creates an Assessment, record and/or portfolio for such child. If such registered user is a teacher, administrator or other licensed user, however, all personal information specific to a child will be owned exclusively by the parents or legal guardians of the child, except that the school, school district or early childhood institution employing such teacher or other user will continue to have the right to use such data for educational and archival purposes and to permit other teachers, administrators and educators employed by such Early Childhood Institution to use such information for educational purposes.
• Assessments, developmental checklists and other individual reports entered by the teacher, administrator or other authorized user into the site are accessible only to teachers, administrators or other authorized users.
• The entry of all personal data and assessment data in OnlineCOR is the responsibility of the school. High/Scope nor Red-e Set Grow assumes any responsibility to enter, collect or review such data.
• By using this service, or authorizing its use with regard to a child, the owner of personal information specific to such child grants High/Scope and Red-e Set Grow a non-exclusive license to share information in the child's Portfolio with professionals, educators, or teachers, for the sole purpose of promoting the education or development of the child and not for marketing purposes.
• In addition, by using or authorizing the use of the site, the owner of any data grants High/Scope and Red-e Set Grow a non-exclusive license to compile aggregated, non-personal, non-individualized information for educational and other research purposes and for commercial use.
• Neither High/Scope nor Red-e Set Grow will divulge your email address without your consent.
• Neither High/Scope nor Red-e Set Grow will, without your consent, rent, sell, or otherwise divulge your personal information to any third party except in a non-personalized, aggregated form.
• When you conduct a transaction through this site, you are providing transaction information to High/Scope or Red-e Set Grow third party suppliers (such as transaction processors and financial institutions) who will use the information solely for the purpose of the transaction.
• High/Scope and Red-e Set Grow reserves the right to contact you via email to notify you of important system changes or to obtain your consent to use personally identifiable data for any purpose not described above. High/Scope and Red-e Set Grow will not use any personally identifiable data for any such purpose without your prior consent.

By registering on our site, you are agreeing to our Privacy Policy (including the terms relating to data ownership and use of information described therein) and Terms of Use in full. You must agree to these to use our site. If you do not agree to these policies and terms, you may not use this site. If you are an administrator of a child care center; school administrator; or other educational administrator acting on behalf of one or more teachers, child care providers, or educational professionals, by registering on our site you are agreeing to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use on your own behalf and on behalf of such other teachers, child care providers, or educational professionals.

No Unlawful or Prohibited Use

As a condition of your use of this site, you agree that you will not use this site for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms and conditions. You also agree to reimburse us for any damage, loss, cost or expense we incur including legal fees if you do use this site for an unlawful or prohibited purpose.

The OnlineCOR service contains a library of online developmental Activities. Some of these Activities emphasize a child's motor skills and may have inherent risks of personal injury. Other Activities may require the use of materials that could harm a child if swallowed. No user of this service should permit any child to engage in offline activities without proper adult supervision.

Subject to the provisions of the Privacy Policy and these Terms of Use relating to the ownership of personalized data, this site is the property of High/Scope Educational Research Foundation and Red-e Set Grow, LLC and is protected by United States and International Copyright laws. All copyright, trademark, and other proprietary rights on this site and in the software, text, graphics, design elements, audio, music, and all other materials originated or used by High/Scope or Red-e Set Grow at this site ("OnlineCOR Content") are reserved to High/Scope, Red-e Set Grow and other respective owners who have granted High/Scope or Red-e Set Grow the right and license to use such OnlineCOR Content. You agree that no joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship exists between you and High/Scope or Red-e Set Grow or any of our affiliates or suppliers as a result of this agreement or use of this site. 

Our performance of this agreement is subject to existing laws and legal process, and nothing contained in this agreement is in derogation of our right to comply with law enforcement requests or requirements relating to your use of this site or information provided to or gathered by us with respect to such use.

If any part of this agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law including, but not limited to, the warranty disclaimers and liability limitations set forth above, then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and the remainder of the agreement shall continue in effect.

Any waiver (express or implied) by either party of any breach of this agreement shall not constitute a waiver of any other or subsequent breach.

This agreement and the Privacy Policy referenced herein constitute the entire agreement between you and us with respect to this site and it supersedes any and all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral, or written, between you, High/Scope, and/or Red-e Set Grow with respect to this site. A printed version of this agreement and of any notice given in electronic form shall be admissible in judicial or administrative proceedings based upon or relating to this agreement to the same extent and subject to the same conditions as other business documents and records originally generated and maintained in printed form.

We reserve the right, at any time, to modify, alter, or update our Privacy Policy or these Terms of Use. If we do so, we will post such modifications, alterations, or updates on this site, and your continued use of this site will constitute acceptance of such modifications, alterations, or updates.
